The Essence Of Motherhood

The golden hour. That magical window before the sun retires, where for a sliver of precious time, it delicately wraps everything it touches in a dreamlike, shimmering glow. It's arguably the best phase of the day, and it parallels the best phase in my life — motherhood.

You see, the golden hour walks hand in hand with all of the little joys that link into the larger framework of motherhood; the running and twirling in circles to get wiggles out before bed, the laughs, the evening cuddles, the grin of a freshly bathed baby, the winding down time and reading of favorite stories. These small and seemingly simple details are the essence of motherhood.

Except this phase isn't arguably the best. It is the absolute best.
