Palm Springs Round 2

Palm Springs is for the pool-loving, Hollywood obsessed, small store shopping and authentic restaurant goers. Sound like you? Me too.

This last trip we took a couple of weeks ago was extra fun because Stagecoach was happening. All the people walking around the shops downtown were adorned in cowboy hats and boots. I may have even heard a yeeee-haww! or two. It also explains the stellar Budweiser shenanigans.

Matt was all, "Oh my gosh! I think they are filming a Budweiser commercial!" and I was all, "Nuh-uh, that is awesome." We were a little bummed to find it was just for Stagecoach, but it was still fun to see. Even the dalmatian was sitting up top with the driver!

We walked over the Hollywood stars where Marilyn Monroe and Ginger Rogers once waltzed about, perused through the general store museum, which houses antique household items dating to the early 1900s, and strolled through some mom and pop stores. My favorite is the mid-century modern furniture store. It is fabulous, in every sense of the word.

A word of caution... don't take pictures in the store. The shop owners will yell at you.
