Thoughts On Motherhood And A 'Life Is Good' Free Wall Art Printable

'Life Is Good' Free Wall Art Printable

"Sometimes I have days where I want to lock myself in the bathroom with a sleeve of Oreos and a good movie on Netflix, and just ignore the dirty house and whiny kids. I find myself envying women who have freedom to come and go as they please and probably have spotless floors. But then I think to myself, 'Hey now, you are a lucky lady to have the life you do!' and I snap out of it.

Truth is, I would be miserable without all of the noise and the tornado of messes that follow me around. I have WAY more blessings than I do negative things to dwell on, so I am choosing to count those and forget the other junk. Life is good!"

This is a thought I shared on Instagram a few days ago. Motherhood is maddening a lot of the time, especially when you spend your days with very small people who cling to you for their every need. But, as said above, my blessings are bounteous! Many women ache to have children of their own and never will be able to. Or, some have children whom they have lost and there is a dark hole where those days of insanity and play once lived.

I feel so incredibly blessed to lead the life I do, and I want to wake up every day shouting, "LIFE IS GOOD!" It's a new motto that I would like to incorporate into my thoughts. Because thoughts turn into actions, right?

(Sidenote: There is a wonderful new website called The Heart Mag, which highlights the beautiful moments of motherhood and life, and they featured me the other day. If you are looking for inspiration and positivity in your life, you have to add them to your daily reading list!)

I will be hanging this beautiful reminder on my wall so it can stare me in the face, especially when I am feeling mopey. I hand-lettered this print with watercolor and made it into a free wall art printable for all of you should you need the happy reminder every day as well. I want you all to feel that life is good, too!

It is an 8x10 print and there are four color options for the printable; white, mint, pink and yellow. I am just beginning to learn how to scan in my work and do the color corrections, so the color you are seeing on your screen versus what it is on the print out itself may vary just a tad. (If you have any magic tips for scanning and color correcting your art, please teach me your ways!) Also, I learned the hard way—after 12 sheets of paper—that you need to set your printer to the proper paper setting. For example, if you have photo paper, there should be an option in your settings when the print dialogue box pops up for photo paper. (At least there is on my Epson inkjet printer.) Be sure to print it on heavy cover paper or matte photo printing paper for the best results. (Oh, and I want to note that I just print mine onto 8.5x11 paper and cut it down to the 8x10 size.)

Here are the free wall art printables! Just click on the one you want to download!

Yes! Growing up my friend and I used to really dream of this life- now we have a little habit of sending pictures to each other of a messy house with an unending surplus of laundry with the quotes- livin the dream. And it really is!

This is cute! & what a great reminder that even though sometimes motherhood is crazy enough to make you wish you were anywhere else there is probably someone out there praying for exactly what you have.
